Meet the
Production editors
The production editors make sure the production process runs smoothly from the moment the manuscript comes in until the book or journal issue is sent to the printer.
They guide the manuscripts through the proofing stages – keeping track of deadlines – and they are responsible for the quality of the proofs. Meanwhile, they are in constant communication with authors, editors, publishers and anyone else involved in the process, providing support where needed and ensuring everyone is aware of the status of the project and their individual tasks and responsibilities.

Meet the TeXnicians
Our TeX-experts convert all manuscripts from their original format to TeX. They create the layouts for all our projects, accommodating the author’s wishes while ensuring that all publications consistently adhere to the style prescribed by the publisher. They handle all technical queries that come up during the proofing stages, and they prepare the XML of the final product for online publication.

Meet the
Management team
TAT Zetwerk was founded in 1998 by Ivo Geradts and Johannes Rustenburg, shortly after they graduated from University. In 2016, Kai Eigner joined the management team.
Ivo (printed publications) and Kai (online publications) lead their TeXnicians using their contagious creativity and technical genius, to ensure every text is presented in the best possible way.
Johannes enables his team to produce books and journals efficiently and is responsible for the team’s cohesion.

The figure in our logo is Hermes, the god of trade, travel, and communication in Greek mythology. He is known for his speed and cunning and he serves as the messenger of the gods. Hermes is often depicted with winged sandals and a caduceus (a staff entwined with two snakes). He is the son of Zeus and Maia.
-
We use Hermes as a logo to symbolize our speed, communication, and efficiency. As the messenger of the gods, Hermes represents swift and accurate transmission of messages, aligning well with our goals for typesetting: the precise and efficient arrangement of text for publishing.
